Mustafa Demir, Mayor of Fatih Municipality, continues to pay visits to schools. Mayor Demir arrived at Katip Çelebi Primary School, Cibali, around noon time and was greeted with the cheering of students.

After being greeted with flowers, Mayor Demir addressed the students, giving them advice about their classes and the future. Demir shared memories from his days as a student and pointed out that the students of today were quite lucky as the school courtyard had a fine view of Süleymaniye Mosque, the Bosphorus and Galata Tower. He advised the students to "Study hard".

Demir stressed that living in and being a resident of Fatih was an honor, the importance of which the students would understand better as they grew older. As always, Mayor Demir concluded his speech with his prayers: "May Mawla bestow upon you a healthy, auspicious and happy life."

After that, Mayor Demir met parents and the school administration. The Principal and members of the parent-teacher association then thanked Mayor Demir for rearranging the school courtyard and the surrounding area in a year, which had been ignored for years. The parent-teacher association made a surprise for Mayor Demir and delivered a presentation of the renovation and rearrangement work carried out around the school. Mayor Demir stated that they offered unlimited support to education and constantly produced projects in order to improve the physical state of schools.

Mayor Demir went on as follows: "I am thrilled about the high level of participation from parents. A child whose parents pay attention to him/her will succeed. We are, in this sense, working to ensure that future generations turn out to be successful in all fields. The easiest way of serving a nation is to serve its children. We are aware of the importance children hold for the future of a country. We do embrace them at schools on every occasion, everything we can to provide them with better educational circumstances. To ensure that our students receive education of higher quality, we keep investing in education."
