Mayor Turan was Present at the Award Ceremony of Composition Competition

Award Ceremony of Dede Effendi Oral Works and Tanburi Cemil Bey Instrumental Works Composition Competition was organized at Fatih Arts and Cultural Center with participation of Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan. Works of composers that ranked the highest were performed by vocalists.

Award Ceremony of Dede Effendi Oral Works and Tanburi Cemil Bey Instrumental Works Composition Competition organized by Fatih Municipality was held at Fatih Arts and Cultural Center with participation of Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan. In the program, artists playing violin, kemancha, qanun, oud, cello, reed flute, tanbur and rhythm instruments came together under the leadership of General Art Director Mehmet Güntekin. Vocalists Canan Sezgin Geylan, İbrahim Suat Erbay, and Aybige Demir Okan performed works of the composers that ranked the highest in this event organized to commemorate renowned figures of Turkish music, namely Dede Effendi and Tanburi Cemil Bey. Instrumental works were performed by the band including Taner Sayacıoğlu, Lütfiye Özer, Ege Yıldız, Şükrü Özoğuz, Volkan Ertem, Murat Bağdatlı, Hüseyin Özkılıç, and Mert Nar. The audience appreciated the performance.
