Cultural Activity for Young People under Fatih Municipality: Registration Open for the 15th Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors Project!

The Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors project offered by Fatih Municipality to young people continues to bring the world together in the historical peninsula in its 15th year. Applications have started, and deadline for applications is 3 June. Young people will have the opportunity to make new friends and improve their cultural and language skills while explaining the historical beauties of Fatih.

Youth and Sports Unit of Fatih Municipality contributes to the development of young people and makes the travel experience of millions of tourists visiting Fatih more enjoyable thanks to the Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors project organised every year.

Applications for the project, which will be realised for the 15th time this year, can now be submitted. The deadline for application was announced as 3 June. The project, which is open to the participation of young people between the ages of 16-30, offers the opportunity to develop social, cultural and language skills and creates a strong volunteer platform to promote rich historical heritage of Fatih.

Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors will work at the landmarks of Fatih from Sultanahmet Square to Hagia Sophia, from Basilica Cistern to Divanyolu, from Grand Bazaar to Eminönü. The young people who will be selected as a result of written and oral interviews will be easily recognisable in the field with their "Bana Sor/Ask Me" t-shirts.

Volunteers who will serve in different languages such as English, Spanish, German, French, Arabic, Persian, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Russian will help tourists in times of need, guide them, share information and make their travels more comfortable.

The Volunteer Tourism Ambassadors project not only provides young people with guidance skills, but also important competencies such as taking responsibility, communicating, developing empathy and direct contact with different cultures.

Young people who come into direct contact with tourists from different countries experience cultural diversity on site and make significant contributions to both their personal and professional development.

This volunteering experience becomes a valuable reference for young people in job applications and academic life in the future.

Volunteers who successfully complete their tasks will be rewarded with a certificate of participation by Fatih Municipality. This document will not only show that young people have participated in a project, but also indicate that they act with a sense of social responsibility and are equipped to communicate internationally.
