Mayor Turan Meets with Business Leaders at MÜSİAD High Advisory Board Meeting Attended by Trade Minister Ömer Bolat

Mr. M. Ergün Turan, the Mayor of Fatih Municipality attended the MÜSİAD High Advisory Board Meeting held with the honourable presence of Mr. Ömer Bolat, the Minister of Trade. Meeting with leading representatives of the business world, Mr. Turan expressed his belief that the meeting would make important contributions to the ‘Century of Trade’ vision.

The High Advisory Board Meeting, organised by the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen' Association (MÜSİAD), was one of the important gatherings that set the trade and industry agenda of Türkiye. The meeting, attended by Mr. Ömer Bolat, the Minister of Trade was also attended by MÜSİAD President Burhan Özdemir and many important figures from various sectors of the business world. The meeting, where strategic goals for economic future of Türkiye were discussed, brought together the business world and decision-makers around the same table.

Mr. M. Ergün Turan, the Mayor of Fatih Municipality, who attended the meeting, stated in his assessment that MÜSİAD has made significant contributions to our country's economic growth, industrial development and strengthening of exports for over 35 years. Mr. Turan emphasised that this deep-rooted experience will continue to guide trade vision of Türkiye in the new century, saying, ‘MÜSİAD is not only an indispensable part of the business world but also of our country's development story. The “Century of Trade” vision is a roadmap that will take this country's production power further.’

Among the topics highlighted at the meeting were increasing export capacity, strengthening Türkiye's position in global markets, the effects of digitalisation on trade, and sustainable production models. Participants agreed that investments in technology, innovation, and skilled labour must be increased so that the business world can adapt more quickly to global competitive conditions in the new era.

Referring to the contribution of local administrations to economic development, Mr. Turan stated that municipalities are responsible not only for social and urban services but also for strengthening the infrastructure needed by the business world. Mr. Turan said, ‘The joint action of local administrations and the business world will lay a more solid foundation for the future of both our cities and our country.’

Throughout the programme, assessments of Türkiye's economic vision created a platform where participants converged on common goals. The MÜSİAD High Advisory Board Meeting stood out as a forum for consultation where not only current issues but also roadmaps for the future were discussed. Participants agreed that the meeting would guide new strategies to further enhance commercial strength of Türkiye.
